Transfer your domain to eStart
Bring your domain, hosting and email under one account. Transfers for .co.za domains are free and your website stays online while we move it.
How a transfer works
Check your domain
Make sure the domain is active, not expiring in the next 7 days and not locked at your current provider.
Get your authorisation code
For .com, .net and .org domains, ask your current provider for the EPP code. Most .co.za domains do not need one.
Order the transfer
Enter your domain above and complete the order. We copy your DNS records so nothing stops working.
Approve and you're done
Approve the transfer email if you receive one. Your domain moves across, usually within 5 working days.

Common questions
How much does it cost to transfer a .co.za domain?
Transferring a .co.za, .org.za, .net.za or .web.za domain to eStart is free. For other extensions the transfer fee includes a one-year renewal, so you do not lose any time on your registration.
Will my website or email go down during the transfer?
No, as long as your DNS settings stay the same. We copy your existing records before the transfer completes so your website and email keep working.
How long does a domain transfer take?
A .co.za transfer usually completes within 5 working days, once the current registrar releases it. International domains such as .com can take 5 to 7 days.
What is an EPP or authorisation code?
It is a password for your domain that proves you own it. Your current provider gives it to you on request. Most .co.za transfers do not need one, while .com, .net and .org transfers do.
Moving your website too?
We can move your website, databases and email from your current host as part of your hosting setup.
